www.TopBidDirectory.net – New bid directory

When I was registered  my other website http://www.makegoldwow.net/ to many directories I was wondering if having my own directory would be a good idea. So I decided to make my own directory. I was looking for a nice directory script and I found http://www.phplinkdirectory.com which seems to be the script that most directory owners use. It seemed to be too complicated to start with so I looked more and found out http://www.phplinkbid.com/ which is a script for a bid directory. It seemed to be perfect to start with.

What is a bid directory? It is a paid directory where webmasters post their sites and after that they can bid on them. They higher they bid the better position in the bid directory their website gets.

So I started working on my own directory and now that I’m finished here’s the result http://www.topbiddirectory.net/. I already have a few paying customers and that’s a sign it might not be so bad. I made my own categories and my own category descriptions.

Now the hard part begins. Promoting the directory, getting more paying customers, increasing the value of the directory and the traffic.

All in all I must say I’m very excited about this new project of mine. Hopefully http://www.topbiddirectory.net/ will be succesful.

www.makegoldwow.net becoming a blog

My site www.makegoldwow.net is becoming a blog. I decided to delete the old pages and start something that could help people playing the World of Warcraft game more than a few general ideas.

I’m going to post there short tips how to easily make gold in WoW. The articles are going to be mainly about playing the auction house, professions and farming.

The most recent article is about making gold with inscription in WoW after 3.1 patch.

Making gold in wow microsite?

Since I spend so much time playing world of warcraft I thought it would be nice to make a web site about it. And since everyone needs gold in the game I figured a guid about making gold could be successful. Getting the right domain is never an easy task, especially in this area. I ended up buying www.makegoldwow.net. It has all the keywords I wanted.

I made a few simple pages about the basics of making gold in world of warcraft. The guid is mainly for new ppl who have problems with their cash and never really thought about changing that. I know a lot of people like that.

The problem I have now is how to get people to my website? I registered it to a lot of directories but I got rejected from some. I might need to reduce the amount of adsense on the site.

In future I would like to expand the site to contain more complex guides and forums about making gold.

My first website

So I finally decided to try to develop my own web sites. Because I really like aquaparks the topic was set and I could immediately buy the domain and hosting.

The site was supposed to be only in the czech language so I had to pick the right domain name. Sadly the ones I would love the have aquapark.cz and aquaparky.cz were taken so took aquaparks.cz. Not the best one for the czech only site but I couldnt afford buying a better domain name.

Then I had to choose the hosting. I didn’t want anything expensive because I didn’t have much cash(I still dont have ) so  chose the cheapest hosting from www.ebola.cz . I know, the name is a weird choice for hosting company, bet they seem to be ok and always reply to my emails in no time.

The result of my work is a list of aquaparks in the Czech republic aquaparks.cz. Check it out if you don’t mind the czech language and feel free to post comments. I plan to translate the site into english but not at the moment.
